"Innovative Democratic Approaches"

On 10 May 2023, a workshop took place in Thessaloniki under EASY project funded by the EU, bringing together young people and facilitators for an engaging discussion on democracy and e-democracy. Participants explored tools available in Greece for e-democracy and e-voting, while the role of social media in political campaigns sparked lively debate as a particularly relevant topic.

The conversation also focused on the use of open data in Greece, examining how public consultation currently happens and how it could be improved in the future. Lastly, participants shared their thoughts on the benefits and disadvantages of e-democracy, delving into its opportunities and challenges in depth. This interactive and thought-provoking session provided a deeper understanding of the digital landscape of democracy and encouraged meaningful reflection on its impact.
